Raymond C. Greer III, 48, of Northlake. Born August 13, 1965 in Chicago, Raymond was a 1983 graduate of West Leyden High School, a 1987 graduate of the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, and a member of Alpha Delta Phi fraternity. Mr. Greer was a former school teacher, including work at Leyden High School, Melrose Park School, Mannheim District 83, and St. John Vianney. In later years, he ran a successful handyman business. A longtime community volunteer, Coach Ray spent many years working with the Westdale Baseball Little League association. An avid White Sox fan, Ray enjoyed evenings watching baseball, playing poker, singing karaoke, and discussing current events with friends. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Greer-Lovelace (nee Bakalla), sister, Alyce (Greer) Penry, brother-in-law Daniel Penry, nieces Paige and Natalie Penry, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Preceded in death by his father, Raymond Greer, Jr., and sister, Linda M. Greer.

Eugene Mikos (Gene), 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 14, 2014, preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Agnes Mikos.
Beloved father of Patricia (Judy) Mikos, Paul (George) Mikos, Susan (Mondo) Hinojosa, Anne Marie (Sam) Rita, Joseph (Lynn) Mikos, Peter (Lisa) Mikos and David Mikos, cherished grandfather of 17, and great grandfather of 6.
Loving step father of MaryAnn, Tom, Mary C, Joe, David, Chuck, Paul, Francis, Ed and Mary Jo, dear step grandfather and step great grandfather of many.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Eleanor Corbett Mikos and wife Margaret Lawdensky Mikos. Eugene was a former City Manager for the City of Northlake, an active parishioner at St. John Vianney Church and a brave WWII veteran. A diehard Blackhawks fan, he was an avid golfer (Hole in One at age 67), He loved puzzles and watching the Food Channel. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and always a delight to be around. Serenaded everyone he met with songs and was always full of jokes to share.
He was loved by many and will truly be missed by all.

Marlyn Mae Rogosienski, “Ma Rogo”, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2014 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Cherished mother of Robert (Debbie) Woods, Laura English, Nicholas (Gina) Rogosienski and Angela Rogosienski. Loving grandmother of Francis, Nina, Tony, David,Kyle, Philip, Natalie, Christie, Kurt, Alise, Alexander and Alaina, great grandmother of Dylan, Cora, Eliza, Charlee and Audrey, fond aunt of Tony and Steve, and lifelong friend to many. “Ma Rogo” was a passionate dancer, music lover, and faithful church choir member. Also known as the “Hat Lady,” she was never seen without a hat which perfectly matched her outfit and jewelry. Her family, friends and faith meant the world to her. She truly loved all animals and even wild squirrels would eat from her hand. Her pasta and baked goods were legendary and she always made enough to feed an army. Marlyn’s joy-filled presence and loving heart will be truly missed by many.

Claudia Jean Lake, Brandt, Portugall, 66, of Evanston, Illinois; beloved wife of John R. Portugall, dear sister of Jeffrey Lake and cousin of Margeret Poole; passed away on Auguist 28th after a long illness. Claudia was vibrant, energetic teacher in the Village of Winnetka, and a docent at the Lincoln Park Zoo. She also held the position of Chairman in the 20th Century Rail Road Club. She also used her talents in an Evanston theatrical group both on and off stage. She earned a teaching degree from National Louis University, and a masters degree in psychology from Northwestern University. Visitation will be on September 4th from 9:00 to 10:00 am, followd by 10:00 am celebratory mass at St. John Vianney Church.
